Men's Health

Young men are at especially high risk for substance use, aggression, risk-taking behaviors, and criminality (Lloyd et al., 2001). These factors are also some of the leading causes of suicide in young men, but it can be difficult to seek help. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been associated with improvements in men's mental and physical health (McGrane et al., 2020). See below for more information...

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) brings awareness to harmful behaviors the client may be engaging in, then encourages them to learn new, positive skills and behaviors (American Psychological Association, 2023). Multiple studies have found correlations between CBT and improved mental health, improved social connections, and reduced risk-taking behaviors (alcohol use, drug use, criminal behavior, etc.) (Olthius et al., 2015). If you feel you could use improvement in any of these areas, click on the links below to learn more about CBT and how you can sign up!
